In 2023, Madison Zabala and Emma Wedgewood had their first daughters only 4 months apart. Over brunch, they started dreaming up an idea of a social group that could bring moms just like them together in the Tallahassee and surrounding counties area. Emma and Madison felt there wasn't a local group in their area primarily dedicated to new moms, or moms in the baby phase. In June of 2024 they started Tallahassee Mothers of Babies & Toddlers (MOBS) Club. What started as a Coffee & Connections meetup, has since grown into weekly events for local mamas of babies and toddlers.
How We Started
**Madison + Emma at their very FIRST meetup in 2024!
Fast forward to July of 2025, one of Emma’s closest friends, Morgan, wanted to create her own community of moms in her hometown of Jacksonville, FL. Morgan came to Emma and Madison and said “How do I do this? Where do I start? Can I take this idea and make it my own?”
And from there, the MOBS Collective was born. Emma and Madison believed there was a need nationwide for moms to find community and connection with not only each other, but with the resources in their community. Through Morgan’s desire to bring community and connection to her local area, Emma and Madison gave her the idea to use the same group structure that they designed for their own chapter Tally MOBS. The MOBS Collective was created to do that on a national level - help moms take what was originally done in 2024, and make it their own.
In September of 2025, they launched MOBS Collective, an organization of motherhood chapters with the shared purpose of creating community, socialization, and connections for mamas nationwide!
